NetHope Summit Brings Together IT Leaders from 22 International NGOs

Techno Brain, Africa’s leading IT Company, was a Solution Showcase Sponsor at 2014 NetHope Global Member Summit, which was held from November 3-7 at the Cisco headquarters campus in San Jose, California, USA.

During the summit, Techno Brain presented its strategy and capability to the members, hosted a round table on business intelligence and participated on a panel which discussed the impact of mobile communications on human behaviour. Techno Brain showcased its completely automated mIVR – Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Solution specifically tailored for Maternal Healthcare. “By enabling access to prenatal care Maternal IVR improves health outcomes and the only tool required is an inexpensive mobile phone,” said Clint Cuny, Director, Americas, Techno Brain.

Techno Brain has joined hands with the NetHope Summit for four years in a row, and plans to continue its association. The 2014 NetHope Member Global Summit brought together representatives from NetHope’s 41 leading international member NGOs, technology partners, and supporters. The goal of this Global Member Summit was to bring together chief information officers (CIOs) and other technology leaders from the non-profit sector and from leading technology companies to share their expertise and insights in order to develop and deliver technologies that can dramatically improve the overall effectiveness and efficiencies of the member nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).

“The NetHope Member Global Summit is the premier event for leading NGOs, the technology industry, and NetHope’s broad partner community to meet, network, learn and develop approaches to ensure the effective use of technology in international development,” said Lauren Woodman, NetHope CEO.
